After spending over 22 years in the television industry as an Emmy award-winning editor, Jeff came back to Cyclesport in 2009. He previously worked at Cyclesport in the early eighties. It was in those first years when his passion for cycling began. Back then, everyone at Cyclesport raced. The atmosphere was contagious and it was only a matter of time before he pinned on a number. Jeff raced for four years getting some good results capped by winning the 1982 Andy Raymond Firecracker Criterium.
He stepped away from cycling for many years until he bought his son Zach a road bike at Cyclesport in 2005. Naturally it didn’t take long before Zach wanted to race and that is when Jeff’s love affair with cycling really came back in full swing. They have traveled thousands of miles going to countless regional and national championship races across the country and have created many long lasting memories.
Along the way Jeff has had the opportunity to work with some great racers such as Adam Myerson (Smart Stop p/b Mountain Khakis, Danny Summerhill (United Healthcare Pro Cycling) and Luke, Nick and Jesse Keough (Keough Cyclocross). He has also been the lead mechanic for Adam Myerson’s Cycle-Smart Cyclocross Camp.
If he’s not traveling with Zach he is provably on the road with his daughter Zoe at fastpitch softball tournament.
Jeff’ has a keen eye for detail, so if you’re looking for a special build or want to spruce up a classic, you’ve come to the right place.
